The table

Your table, your rules

Voxlore is a virtual tabletop. A human Game Master runs the game; the players sit down with their characters. The rules engine does the arithmetic, and everything the GM does lands on every player's screen as it happens.

  • Play from anywhere. Players join over the internet from a link - no port forwarding, no router settings. The GM lets them in.
  • Battle maps that know the rules. Grid, fog of war, bright and dim light, hidden enemies, conditions on tokens, initiative and a turn bell.
  • Characters, start to finish. Creation and level-up wizards, full sheets with spell slots, hit dice and real inventory weight, and dice rolled on the table.
  • Loot, shops and a voice room. A shared party purse and loot pool, shops priced by the town around them and restocked over time, and a private Discord voice room at one click.
A warm, candlelit tavern room with a fire in the hearth, wooden tables and benches.

The Virtual Game Master

An assistant for the GM - on the GM's own computer

The GM's copy ships with an AI assistant that runs locally: a language model, an image model and a voice. Nothing leaves the GM's machine unless the GM adds their own key for an online model. Players' copies run no AI at all.

  • Voices the cast. Hand a character to the assistant and players can talk to it - it answers in character, in its own voice.
  • Paints the scene. Scene art and portraits for characters, monsters and items, made from the record in front of you.
  • Narrates the dice. The rules engine decides the numbers; the assistant only describes the hit, the miss and the critical.
  • Keeps the story. End a session and it writes the notes up, so next week starts where this one ended.

The GM decides what it does, and the game is fully playable with the assistant switched off.

Worlds and adventures

A world in minutes. An adventure in the box.

A ring of standing stones under a swirling night sky in a dark forest clearing.

Generate the world

Generate an entire world, or keep it small and carve out one region. A continent with its states, provinces, cultures, religions and roads. Drill into any settlement for a street map, a ruler and council, guilds, shops with stocked shelves and the people who live there. Dungeons are generated room by room, stocked for the party's level. Settlement maps and dungeon maps are all generated within the app - nothing to draw, nothing to import.

A sunlit, overgrown forest shrine with a great fallen stone statue among the ferns.

Hollow Reach ships with it

An eight-hour forest-horror adventure for levels 1-3: missing travellers, an ancient spirit, and the hamlet of Briarwatch on the edge of the deep woods. It comes as a module, with its art, maps and voice lines.

Bring your own game

Adventures travel as modules: activate one in a campaign and edit anything - your edits are yours, the module stays pristine. Write your own monsters, items, spells and random tables. Import your own maps and images, with Dungeon Alchemist maps dropping straight in - just export as Foundry and the walls, doors and lights come with them. Replace the art, the music and the sounds with your own.

How it is sold

Players play free

On Steam, Voxlore will be a free app for players, plus a paid GM add-on. One copy of the add-on runs the table; everyone else joins for free.

The free app

Everything a player needs: character creation, the sheet, dice, maps, chat, loot and the voice room. A player is never a second-class seat.

The GM add-on

Create campaigns and host the table. One purchase, and it includes the whole AI assistant - nothing tiered, nothing extra to download.

Rulesets

One table, more than one game

The world, the maps, the adventures and the table work the same whichever rules you play by.
